ARTIST'S WEBSITE

Via a framework of rephotography, the artist uses vintage images from the City of Toronto Archives and seamlessly integrates them with his own visual record of exactly the same locations in present-day Toronto.

Harry says, ”... I use photography to explore the continuity of time and space; I create Toronto Moments In Time.”

Over the last year his work has progressed from basic combinations of "then and now" images bisected left and right to a process whereby he interweaves elements of the past and present, offering more associations and social commentary for the viewer.

Enchin's work has been well received at art fairs and shows. Most recently, his collages were Awarded as “Best Computer Altered Fine Art Photography” at the 2012 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, where his display was said by The Toronto Star to have attracted “… the biggest crowd of excited spectators.”

Harry Enchin's work is in private and corporate collections.
